We didn't just build a network. We built a seat at the table.

KGBA, Kenya Global Business Alliance, exists because Kenyan entrepreneurs and diaspora professionals across the globe were doing exceptional work in isolation without any shared platform. No trusted community. No organised bridge between the UK, Kenya and the world. This is where we changed that.

We are a UK-registered Community Interest Company (CIC) connecting ambitious founders, investors, professionals and organisations through networking, trade, mentorship and a growing global community, all rooted in one powerful shared identity: Kenyan business.

Born from a bold vision. Built by a community.

KGBA was developed by CICL-UK, Connect Integrated Company UK Limited, an organisation that has already facilitated over £50 million in investment opportunities between the UK and Kenya.

Founded by Mary Njonjo, CICL-UK identified a gap that no one was filling: a credible, premium, community-first platform specifically for Kenyan entrepreneurs and diaspora professionals.

In June 2025, KGBA was officially launched with the ribbon cut by H.E. Ambassador Maurice Makoloo, Kenya’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

That moment was more than a launch. It was a statement: Kenyan business has arrived, and it is serious.

Since then, KGBA has grown into a formal Business Membership Organisation, joining KEPSA, the Kenya Private Sector Alliance, and building a community of entrepreneurs, investors and professionals across the UK, Kenya and beyond.

“Our purpose goes beyond business. We are building a community where innovation is nurtured, entrepreneurs are empowered, and every success story inspires another.”

Vision, Mission & Values

Our Vision

To become the world's most connected global network for Kenyan business.

Our Mission

To empower entrepreneurs and diaspora professionals through meaningful connections, practical business support and international opportunities that unlock long-term growth.

Our Values

We build meaningful connections, support ambitious people, and create an inclusive space rooted in trust and integrity.

Not just a network. A Community Interest Company.

KGBA is registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in the United Kingdom. That means every decision we make is anchored in one question: does this benefit our community?

Our community benefit mission includes supporting entrepreneurs to start and grow sustainable businesses, helping people move from economic inactivity into enterprise, creating employment, reducing inequality, particularly for first-generation, young people and disabled entrepreneurs, and strengthening community cohesion through business and social engagement.

We measure success not just in deals made and connections forged, but in communities strengthened, barriers broken and opportunities created for people who might otherwise be left behind.

Built for the ones who mean business.

KGBA is for anyone connected to the Kenyan business story, whether you’re a founder in Nairobi, a diaspora entrepreneur in London, an investor looking for the right opportunity, or a corporate ready to tap into the UK, Kenya corridor.

Our community includes:

  • Kenyan-owned businesses operating in the UK
  • Diaspora entrepreneurs and professionals
  • Investors and deal-makers seeking Kenyan opportunities
  • Exporters and importers across the UK, Kenya trade corridor
  • Young founders building their first venture
  • First-generation entrepreneurs ready to grow and connect
  • Disabled entrepreneurs who deserve equal access to opportunity
  • Start-ups, SMEs and corporates at every stage

Whether you’re just starting out or already established, if you’re serious about what you’re building, KGBA is serious about supporting you.

Four pillars. One powerful community.

Everything KGBA does sits across four areas. Each one is designed to give our members real, tangible value from day one.

Networking & Partnerships

Real connections with entrepreneurs, investors and organisations across the UK, Kenya and beyond.

Trade & Investment

Access to the UK, Kenya trade corridor, cross-border opportunities and investment pathways.

Mentorship & Growth

Guided support, masterclasses and one-to-one mentoring from people who've been where you're going.

Inclusion & Community

A network built for everyone: first-generation entrepreneurs, young founders, disabled entrepreneurs and the wider diaspora.

The credibility to back it up.

The people behind the platform.

KGBA is powered by a passionate, international team of entrepreneurs, professionals and community leaders, united by the belief that Kenyan business deserves a world-class platform.

From our Founder & CEO Mary Njonjo to our specialists in programmes, memberships, finance, social media and disability entrepreneurship, every person on this team is here because they believe in what we’re building.
